from the club to church

I went to go visit my cuz last night. He dj’s at various spots in the city from time to time. But what was abnormal about this particular visit is that I was sober. I haven’t been to “the club” sober as far back as I can remember. And the interesting part, at least from my perspective is that I was fine… more confident, more open, more personable, and it seems that some doors have opened as a result of that. I came home at a reasonable time 2a, and woke up early this morning for my day of church family time which were both a great success in their own rights.
After the sermon I decided to take pictures of the great things within the church, and I came upon this stone carving I thought it had a humor about it. When I dissected the figure it seems that it related back to the exact gospel that was recited today (coincidence? I think not). The spoke of the sheepfold and those who climb a gate without the Sheppard are criminal, and that the sheep are soothed by the Sheppard’s voice and do exactly what he says, and are therefore lead into the gates by him.
